Subject files on war production programs, 1941-1948.

Files primarily documenting World War II homefront programs established under the Federal Security Administration's Rural War Production Program, particularly its Out-of-School Youths and Adults Program (OSYA), and administered through the St. Louis County Board of Education for the Unorganized Territory. Operated through local schools and communities, the programs included training for and operation of community canneries, farm machinery repair training, the cooperative hiring of a fieldman to advise local creamery and dairy plant managers on testing and improving the quality of their milk and cream, and a potato growing program. The files consist almost entirely of carbon copies of outgoing correspondence. The main correspondents are St. Louis County employees R. B. Aakre, W. J. Kortesmaki, and Roy A. Nelson.
